Charles Bencivengo, DMD
Dr. Bencivengo received his D.M.D. degree from Farleigh Dickinson University in 1974. While at Farleigh Dickinson, he received the Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievement from the Department of Endodontics.
Dr. Bencivengo served four years as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. He has been in practice for over thirty years and during this time he has seen much advancement in the science of dentistry. Dr. Bencivengo enjoys keeping current with all of the new advances and techniques while constantly improving his clinical skills by taking advanced courses with the leaders in the dental industry, namely, The Dawson Academy of Dentistry and the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education. Some of the courses Dr. Bencivengo has taken include: Advanced Endodontics, Esthetics/Cosmetic Dentistry, Porcelain Veneers, Advanced Functional Restorative Dentistry and Implant Restorations. He has also been certified with the World Clinical Laser Institute and is certified in Oral Sedation. Dr. Bencivengo is an alumnus of both the Dawson Academy and the Spear Education programs.
Dr. Bencivengo lives in Burlington with his wife Mary and is the father of three sons. He is an avid bicyclist and also enjoys skiing, traveling and spending time with his wife and children in his free time.
Wing Ko, DMD, MAGD, FICOI
Dr. Ko was born and raised in Hong Kong, moving to the United States to attend college. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree with cum laude in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, he was employed at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine as a senior lab technician. He received his Doctoral degree in Dental Medicine from Tufts University in 2001.
Dr. Ko has been practicing dentistry in central Connecticut since 2003. He completed his certificate in Orthodontics from International Association for Orthodontics in 2005, and has been helping his patients achieve healthy, beautiful, natural looking smiles with traditional braces and Invisalign. In addition to orthodontics, Dr. Ko is also experienced in restorative, endodontic, cosmetic, prosthodontics, oral surgery and laser dentistry, as well as implant placement and implant restoration.
Dr. Ko is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, International Association for Orthodontics and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In 2014, Dr. Ko was awarded Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. In 2020, Dr. Ko was awarded Fellowship status and in 2024, he obtained Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry, a distinction awarded to less than 2% of all dentists in North America. He has been volunteering for the Connecticut Mission of Mercy since 2010, providing free dental care to the underserved and uninsured in Connecticut.
Dr. Ko lives in Avon with his wife and three children. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and attending his children’s violin performances.
